Following on from the traditional barn style garages, we have produced hand made structural roof trusses. These have been of the King post type with all joints being mortise and tenon held together with oak pegs. Not only are they a very functional item but are also visually a real treat. The oak is sanded and oiled with Tung oil to bring out the colour and warmth of the timber without giving it a glossy finish. We can also produce trusses in Douglas fir – an equally beautiful timber but not as costly as oak. Spans of up to 20 feet can be achieved. For further information please call or e-mail.
